I got myself lost in the labyrinth alleys of Hutongs and I came in contact with the most gypsy corner of Beijing, a corner full of people, color, and energy. I started taking photographs of the people living in Hutongs and I discover a world coming from the old times where people were living closely with other people, share everything and participate lively in their community.

The Inner World concerns inner spaces to the island of Chios that Stratis photographed for almost three years.The project ended up in a book with the title "Inner World, Mastic Villages. 

I've been photographing fishermen in Mediterranean Sea the last four years. Recently my project regarding fishermen in seven countries in Mediterranean Sea has completed.

Unreal Steps have to do with my attempt to walk outside the cells, the convenient bubbles that I build around me and go out to thin ice, an uncertain place in which only through my very own raw feelings I can identify the world around me. We photograph what we know but on the other hand we are being influenced by so many things that we dont know, things, which are vivid and alive elements of the reality around us. Unreal Steps is an attempt to be open and document these unknown elements which at the same time are so close to me.

I photographed the training and the participation of the Greek athletes with disabilities at the Beijing Paralympic Games 2008. This project was for me a unique opportunity to observe and experience the resilience of the human spirit and the passion of the human heart. Sport is more than simply who wins and who loses. Its about the bonds between people and the relationships that last a lifetime.
